Building membranes

Since in recent years, the use of under-roof space as living, attic quarters has become a popular and economically justified trend (while attics and haylofts are becoming a vintage relic), then currently, Roofer™ superdiffusion membrane in combination with a metallized vapor barrier membrane is the most optimal solution for arranging pitched roofs and ventilated spaces. The membrane is needed to divert moisture from the insulation, while the vapor barrier protects against the penetration of water vapor generated inside the premises as a result of human activity. The membrane also replaces waterproofing films, which inappropriately create a sauna effect under the roof. Many practical roofers understand that when using ordinary non-vapor-permeable films, it's difficult to maintain ventilation standards, which will inevitably lead to insulation wetting. Excessive humidity causes the insulation to get wet and, consequently, reduces its thermal performance, leads to roof freezing and ice formation on the roofing, rotting of rafters and battens, mold growth, and damage to the interior finish of the premises.

The structure of the Roofer material is a three-layer, highly vapor-permeable material composed of non-woven polypropylene fibers. Special markings (overlap and length indicators) are printed on the membrane to simplify its installation.
