Ease of installation
Roofer K2 butyl rubber tape is a strip of butyl rubber applied to a paper protective tape, which is used to secure vapor barrier membranes to the joints, i.e. to the rafters and walls adjacent to the roof, and can also be used to glue the overlap of Roofer vapor barrier membranes. Installation work is allowed at temperatures from +5° to +35°C.
Roofer K2 butyl rubber tape is used for gluing joints of all types of vapor barrier membranes. It is a necessary element for protecting the insulation, since vapor barrier, as a process, has the purpose of protecting the insulation from the ingress of warm air from the inside of the room, thus it must be absolutely airtight.
When installing a vapor barrier membrane, Roofer K2 butyl rubber tape is applied to the previously cleaned surface of the wall, rafter, mounting element, etc. from dirt, dust, ice, after which it is necessary to remove the protective paper tape and overlap the edge of the vapor barrier membrane. At low air temperatures, heating with a construction hairdryer is allowed directly when applying to the surface.
Original TM ROOFER products are packaged exclusively in branded packaging with the address of the manufacturer's facilities and technical specifications.
